A Spiritual Approach to Understanding Addiction

Many people do not understand addiction well.  There are stereotypes and misconceptions about addiction that cause confusion in our society.  To help everyone understand the risks of addiction, how to avoid addictions, and how to find healing from addictions, Dr. Lofgran has written a book relating the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the challenge of addictions.  Click here to learn more about the book, “Understanding Addiction.” The Walker Center

Gooding Family Physicians

Dr. Lofgran partnered with Ian Kunz, PA-C, in 2006, to form Gooding Family Physicians, a family practice medical group.  In 2014 they joined North Canyon Medical Center to expand services and provide their patients with better access to all of the hospital’s resources.  They now occupy a new medical complex adjoining North Canyon Hospital, a state of the art facility built in 2010.  North Canyon Medical Center | The Walker Center | Auburn Crest

Treating Addiction Holistically

Addiction is rapidly becoming a topic of national discussion and debate.  Opioid addiction has made headlines over the past decade, and is steadily increasing in scope and cost.  Many other addictions are also problems within our society.  Alcohol, nicotine, methamphetamine, and other drugs are also problematic.  Behavioral addictions likewise pose high costs to our society, financially and socially.  Medical treatments can help stabilize patients while behavioral treatments help them learn how to live a healthy and productive life.
